San Carlos Adds the Block Party
San Carlos has a strong traditional of community events throughout the year, including the Art & Wine Faire, Hometown Days, and the weekly Farmers’ Market. Now the City of San Carlos and the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce have announced what will hopefully be a new annual tradition as an end-of-summer community event: the San Carlos Block Party.
Taking place Sunday, September 8th from 4-8pm on the 600 and 700 blocks of Laurel Street, the Block Party will include takeout specials from local restaurants, beer and wine booths, live music, and games and activities including full size Jenga and Connect Four. A number of the San Carlos wineries are sponsoring the event, and the blocks should be filled with adirondack chairs and fun decorations for hanging out with friends and family (just no dogs, please).
Thanks to Council Member Adam Rak for sending me the info, and thanks to all of the sponsors. Just another way we’re the City of Good Eating (and Drinking)! See you all then!
