Domenico Winery, the O.G. of San Carlos wineries (having been around for two decades), just opened The Osteria in its newly renovated tasting room. The room is a beautiful space and is now a destination for both wine tasting and Italian food. Domenico had already established itself as both a first class winery and a favorite party/event venue in the Bay Area.

The Osteria menu includes cicchetti (small dishes), salads, pizzas, panini, cheese and meat plates, and dessert selections. Having opened less than a week ago, we came in for lunch today to check out the scene. We were not disappointed. But with only two us, we were only able to try the burrata appetizer and the sausage pizza, both of which were very high quality. We look forward to trying other items on the menu.

The outdoor wraparound deck is also very nice — a great place for wine tasting and dinner or a snack, and a decent place to bring your dog too.

The Osteria is open Wednesday-Saturday from 11am-7pm and Sunday from 12noon-6pm. Congrats to Domenico on their expansion and best wishes for their continued success.
